Today, Monday 19th January 2026, Sutton Courtenay Parish Councils issued letters to all householders within 50m of a proposed speed Indicator Device location.
This year Sutton Courtenay Parish Council is planning to increase the areas that are covered by the portable speed indicator devices (SIDs). Currently there are six locations mainly along Drayton Road. The SIDs will be moved between the existing and proposed locations, whilst the pole and solar panel will remain in place.
Following an initial consultation for suggested locations the five proposed locations are:
Appleford Road – on the north side, opposite 10/12 Appleford Road
Bradstocks Way – on the south side, outside 50 Bradstocks Way
Church Street – on the north side, near Russet House
Drayton Road – on the north side, opposite The Jordans, 5 Drayton Road
Milton Road – on the south side, outside 45 Milton Road
Maps detailing the locations, which have approved by Oxfordshire County Council, are below.
For a plan of the existing SID pole locations please see the final document.
