This questionnaire asks for your views on Thames Water’s proposed White Horse Reservoir (formerly known as SESRO) near Abingdon. It is being circulated by Parish Councils in the surrounding area to gather residents’ opinion alongside the statutory planning process. The scheme would hold approximately 150 billion litres of water in approximately 1,700 acres. If built, this would be the second largest reservoir in England.
This project is currently being considered as a Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project that has a specific planning process, with a decision expected to follow a Development Consent Order. This is dealt with by the Planning Inspectorate and does not involve local Planning Officers or the Local Plans.
This questionnaire takes about five minutes to complete. You do not have to answer every question, and you do not have to give your name. Please select one answer per question unless the question says otherwise.
The Clerk at Harwell Parish Council, in a volunteer capacity, is coordinating this survey and is the data controller for the information you provide, wherever you return the form. Your answers will be used only to understand resident opinion on this proposal. See the final page of this survey for how your data will be handled.
